What is Commercial Diving and its Importance?

As a premier commercial diver school, we offer specialized training that prepares you for a rewarding future career in the commercial diving industry. The Ocean Corporation’s comprehensive Commercial Diving program is thirty (30) weeks long.

Class Schedule


Classes are held Monday through Friday, either 7:30 am to 12:30 pm or 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

This section of our commercial diver training program lays the foundation for your career in commercial diving. The modules are meticulously designed to teach you the essential skills required for the diving industry, including rigging, diving physics, equipment maintenance, and diving emergency procedures. You will master the handling and maintenance of diving gear and marine equipment, alongside advanced techniques like air decompression and chamber operations. Our training emphasizes safety and practical application, ensuring you are prepared to meet the demands of the commercial diving industry confidently.

Basic Diving Physics and Medicine

Air Decompression and Chamber Orientation

Master the U.S. Navy Standard Surface Air Decompression Tables and gain practical experience with decompression chambers.

Diving Air and Chamber Systems

Understand and operate air supply systems and decompression chambers that are essential for safe commercial diving operations.

Dive Equipment Maintenance

Learn how to maintain diving masks, helmets, and complete dive stations to ensure equipment operation is efficient.

This segment of the diving certification course delves into specialized and advanced aspects of commercial diving, ideal for those seeking to take on complex underwater projects. You will explore Advanced Mixed-Gas Diving, Bell and Saturation Diving, and learn Underwater Welding and Cutting. The commercial diver school offers you hands-on experience to prepare you for the challenges of deep-water and high-risk environments.

Advanced Mixed-Gas Diving

Gain knowledge about the deeper aspects of diving physics and medicine, focusing on mixed-gas use, decompression sickness prevention, and treatment.

Bell and Saturation Diving

Underwater Welding and Cutting
