OSHA RECOGNIZED FIRST AID, CPR, & AED TRAINING

This is an American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, & AED training course and will prepare you to identify and tend to breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults and children. This training meets OSHA and workplace requirements. This is a hybrid learning course, also known as blended learning, which includes online training and an in-person instructor-led classroom skill session. The online training must be completed prior to attending the classroom training and requires a PC or tablet with a high-speed internet connection. You need to allow yourself at least two hours to complete the online training portion of the course. Upon your successful completion of the entirety of this course, you will receive a certificate for Adult and Child American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, & AED, which will remain valid for two years.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?

This course design is perfect for students who wish to study and work at the same time; it’s self-paced so the training can be accomplished at a pace that works for you. The online and classroom training option provides greater convenience and the content is equivalent to a traditional course with less time spent in a classroom while still providing hands-on skills.

Online content is accessed via the Red Cross Learning Center.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • Basic first aid responses for different real-world scenarios
  • Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • What to do in the event someone experiences sudden cardiac arrest
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

ABOUT THE ONLINE TRAINING SECTION

The First Aid Online course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. The course features award-winning simulation learning – an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting. This course requires a PC or tablet with a high-speed internet connection. This course is NOT supported on smartphones. This course does not work with Internet Explorer. Allow approximately 2 hours to complete the course.

Note: If you only complete the online portion, you will not meet OSHA CPR and First Aid requirements.

ABOUT THE CLASSROOM SECTION

The classroom first aid training will take place at our campus located at 10840 Rockley Rd. Houston, TX 77099. This portion should take approximately one hour. Availability will be most weekdays between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm. For full availability, check the registration form.
